22/03/2009 - Time to build the
trolley and take the wing off the jig
With
the trolley build, the wing could be upturned and put in the
trolley to allow the aileron brackets, gap seals and flap spars to
be match drilled ready for priming.
Bob and I decided to leave
early, first of all to go and see his new project and the second
cause its Mother's day.
Now Bob has started a fantastic new project as you can see by the
pictures below. However I did have some questions for him
 |
How are you going to make that
fly ? it doesn't look like an aircraft ! |
 |
How long is the runway going
to be to get it into the air ? |
 |
Why have you whimped out and
gone for the quick build kit ? |
 |
It looks a little heavy for
grass strips ? |
The answers can not be printed
here ! I am sure you
have already guessed his project is to build a canal boat. I
am not going to be happy if he is driving down the canal before I
am flying !

Its a lovely piece of kit, really looking forward
to all the headaches he will have on how things go together ...
just like me :-) |
